Key People within EQSJohn Stacey - General Manager
John has a management background and has qualifications in Health Services Management and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He worked widely in the UK health sector before coming to New Zealand sixteen years ago. In the UK he was involved extensively in managing and redesigning mental health services from hospital care to community services. He joined the Ministry of Health in 1988 as an advisor in developing community care options. In 1990 he managed the transfer of people from Mangere Hospital to the community, and the creation Spectrum Care trust. From 1997 he worked as an independant consultant working with the purchasers and providers of Health and Disability services. John founded EQS in 2002 with Dr Alwyn Robertson. EQS was recognised by the Ministry of Health as a Designated Audit Agency that same year.
Glenda Ray - Quality Manager Glenda is a registered nurse with a background in general surgery and orthopaedic nursing. Glenda returned to New Zealand 10 years ago after a broad experience of working in developing world healthcare, and completed a Business Studies Diploma in Health Management sparking an interest in Quality Management. Since 2000 Glenda has worked with a variety of Health Care Providers as a Quality Co-Ordinator and has been involved in both Accreditation and Ministry of Health Certification. Glenda is a Certified Quality Manger with the New Zealand Organisation of Quality and has incorporated the principles of the Business Excellence Foundation into her work. Glenda completed a Bachelor of Business Studies in 2003.
Tina French - Consumer Auditor Tina has worked as a consumer auditor for EQS since 2004 and has been very involved with the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Follow the link to find out more about Tina.
